This is a picture of the "transition zone" between the wet side of the island and the dry side of the island. For the most part, the eastern half of Waimea was often drizzly and cloudy, while the western half of Waimea was often sunny, warm, and dry. The change in vegetation greenness and type demonstrates the consistent, remarkably narrow transition area.
