We had planned on visiting Volcanoes National Park this day, but rain persisted in that area of the island. So, we decided to make a loop around the entire island. This picture was taken at the most southern point in the United States, at about 18.9 degrees N. This is at nearly the same latitude as San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Kingston, Jamaica. It should be noted that this picture is taken facing the north.
