2007:05:22 19:30:25 -- 2 S of Wakeeny, KS (Looking )

I wish I had brought my camcorder back into the computer room. The severe cells hit us pretty hard as they were developing (which explains why we didn't have time to pack up and move elsewhere). We received ~0.75" hail at this location, along with very strong winds. This picture was taken as I watched a very bizzare shear zone along the highway. Winds near the truck were extremely strong out of the east, while the winds were very strong out of the west about 200-300 to the south of the strong easterlies. I'm hesitant to call it a tornado, but I am confident in saying that it was some sort of vortex. IIRC, the time and location correspond well to a rotational couplet we observed on radar, and I believe it matches with the text of a tornado warning pretty well too.
