2007:03:28 15:56:44 -- Shamrock, TX (Looking west-southwest)

The first attempts at sustained convection occurred west of Childress. This storm quickly developed a ~55 dBz core as it moved to the north-northeast, and it split less than an hour after its inception. However, the storms weakened as they approached Shamrock, while stronger storms persisted to the northeast of Lubbock. This picture shows the left and right splits.
