We sat at this location for quite some time watching the updraft struggle to maintain itself.  There were occassional "puffs" of enhanced vertical accelerations/velocities, and the updraft did look crisp for most of the time.  The shear, however, was pretty obvious, causing the updraft to take on a highly tilted appearance.
